You wake up on an island with a pile of money.

The adventurers woke up on the beach of an island next to a pile of 180000 silver. The silver was enchanted so that it was planar locked. After messing around for a few hours, the adventurers spotted a pirate ship on the horizon. They then teleported onto the ship and killed or knocked out about half the crew, causing them to surrender. After looting the ship, Tanis made rope necklaces and put them onto the surviving crew members, telling them that they would explode if he pushed a button (the ropes don't actually do anything, but the pirates didn't know that). Vem-Miguel then took a scale from the captain for use with the bond summon incant. Tanis then revoked the planar lock on the silver, stuffed it all in his portal bag, and teleported the party home.
