[Dirge of the Depths] Requiem for a Cetacean; Game 1: A Shady Deal [Southam, Geleia]

The game started with party meeting in Southam in Geleia. After being struck with, not an earthquake but a slight tremor, they gathered together in a small dilapidated Neptune temple. The outfits and writings were all “odd” to say the least. They spoke with a priest named Normal Man about the tremor. They had an odd face. Normal Man claimed that the tremors were caused by some sort of large whale with psionic powers deep in the ocean waves. The temple had a boat capable of delivering them to the depths where the creature they’re hunting lives.

The party was immediately suspicious. Taion sent one of his spirits to go and scout the area to gather information, while Uriel grilled the priests for info on their hunt. Eventually, Uriel used her religious knowledge to determine that these Neptunians were actually part of a smaller cult claiming to worship a specific aspect of Neptune declared heretical by the wider church.

Extremely suspicious of the hirers, pay is pay, and so they trek on.
