The Hunger (Session 5)

Minions of the Shade await the party outside the dungeon, Viego with them, a strange black mark on his face and black smoke pouring from him. After defeating and killing the minions with great difficulty (Maxi died), Viego awakes (after being made unconscious during the fight) with the smoke and aggression seemingly gone. The shade was able to read the pages, but the party recovered them. They traveled back to Glendyr and Isis revived Maxi and the minions, though two of the minions immediately killed one of their old fellows and ran off, acting strange.
