Vet Game, Last Rights, Session 3

The party, having separated to investigate a temple and a bar in a kernel of the city of the Infero, learn about the ups and downs of daily life. Kernels are centralized locations that have had the paperwork done to affirm their existence from Anubis himself. The City of the Infero is built off the will and thoughts of its inhabitants, constructed with the belief that this is what it should be there. The party discovers there are populations of people who aren't Anubians but are here simply because they weren't a of a different priest. Lots of people are here, even if they worshipped the other gods or hated the gods altogether. They also learn the dead use their will to build (often unsanctioned due to high regulation and slow processing) structures, as well as trade bits of themself (will/ concept of self) as currency.

People here aren't super jazzed to be here. Its all people who don't to have themselves reset via reincarnation and don't have anywhere else to go. Currently, people who have soul and spirit intact, who are not priests or nomads, will be going through the infero. The city is the collection of people who've chosen to remain, instead of reincarnate, or be a ghost, they just hanging. Not everyone's very happy though, as the infero has clearly been a big neglected in the eyes of the anubians who are running it. They try to be hands off, but also do still have hands on on weirdly specific tasks and things. They ban things that lead towards instability of the dimension, and help build structures when the proper forms are filled out, but they are rarely in the city and mostly dealing with intake forms from all the people dying.

In the respective split groups, they are ambushed by the dead members of the Crimson Cult and capture one each for questioning.
